Chocolate Ganache Drip

Updated: Mar 1, 2018

An easy way to make your cake look trendy with just 2 ingredients! For best results, use the ganache on a smooth, straight surface. Since ganache has a shiny finish, it will highlight bumps and ridges on a cake and you definitely don't want that!

Notes/Tips

*Any kind of chocolate can work really - milk, dark, white, semi-sweet.

*The key is to keep a 1:1 ratio. Too much heavy cream makes it too runny and too much chocolate makes it too thick.

*Alternatively, you can do the double boiler method. But why wash more dishes??

*Use a squeeze bottle or piping bag for best results. You can use a spoon or offset spatula, but may be a little harder to control.

Chocolate Ganache Drip - Yields Approximately 2 Cups

Ingredients:

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chocolate

Directions:

  1. Pour chocolate morsels and heavy in a microwave safe bowl.

  2. Microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring with a whisk each time until ganache is smooth and shiny.

  3. Use on desserts for drip effect when it is no longer scolding hot but still warm.

If ganache firms up, simply microwave 30 second intervals/stir until desired consistency.
